• Read and review the Rule of 3's
• Ensure your pets (if you have them) are up to date on all required vaccinations and care.
• Be prepared to bring your pet for a meet and greet.
• Ensure you are ready to add a new animal to your life and family dynamic.
• The adoption fee: dogs $400,  Cats are $150 (adopt 2 cats and the second is $100) is paid after application has been approved with a signed adoption application and is non-refundable. 

Requirements for adoption are considered on a case by case basis, based on the dogs individual needs. You must be of legal age to sign legal documents. You must agree to the Rule of 3’s and be willing to give your new pet adequate time to adjust to your home environment. Applicants who return a dog to us before giving them adequate time to acclimate will not be allowed to adopt from our organization after the dog is returned. Some dogs will require fencing, some will not. Some dogs will require experience with the breed and a willingness to provide proper training (ie belgian maliniois and other higher drive breeds). Some dogs will not be placed into a home with children while some dogs will thrive better in a home with children. We do adopt if you rent, but further verifications will be needed before an application is approved as well as a well thought out back up plan for if you move from your existing rental home. ( example: just because your current landlord allows pets, will you be able to ensure that will be the case if you rent a different home? Do you have a plan for unexpected moves?)
